Seawolves Pick Top Collegiate Backs in Historic MLR Draft
Tukwila, Washington – The Seattle Seawolves entered Saturday’s first-ever Major League Rugby (MLR) College Draft. With two rounds for 12 of the league’s teams, Seattle was designated picks #5 and #17 after the order was set based off league standings from the end of week five of the regular season. Head coach Kees Lensing selected back line additions with both picks to help bolster depth in the roster’s playmaker positions of flyhalf and center for MLR 2021. Matthews and Taylor are the two latest rugby players to call the Seattle Southside home.
